Truly Meeting: An Expressive Arts Approach
Markus Scott-Alexander and Ashkan Anbarzadeh
The conversation explores the dynamics required of truly meeting and seeing how to respond in a way that is not formulated but rather, created. It is especially relevant to those interested in art-based, phenomenological psychotherapy.
Ashkan Anbarzadeh is a second-year Master’s student in Clinical Psychology at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran. Trained in Ego State Therapy, Clinical Hypnosis, and Transactional Analysis, he has interpreted various international workshops. Having experienced different approaches, he is keen on creatively bridging theories and modalities for enhanced effectiveness. Introduced to Expressive Arts in a workshop with Elzette Fritz, he joined Expressive Arts Without Borders and met Dr. Markus Scott Alexander. Captivated by Markus's phenomenological philosophy, he aspires to integrate Expressive Arts into his therapeutic framework. Ashkan brings his curiosity and interest to a series of intimate conversations with Markus.
